There are many types of air conditioning systems that can be used to cool your home.

The two most popular are; Central air conditioning and air conditioning.

Central air conditioning cools your entire home by circulating air through ducts installed inside your home. The warm air from your home passes through these ducts to become cold air. Once the air is cold, it is pumped back through the ducts and cools your home. The duct system is based on a supply and return system. Air continues to circulate through the system to reach the desired temperature for your entire home. Considering the fact that your home will have a solid temperature, the central air system will operate at a solid rate to cool your home.

The room air conditioner, better known as wall or window air conditioner, can only cool a certain amount of space. The unit is mounted on the wall or window of a specific room. The extra size for a window air conditioner is that, unless it’s not a large unit, you don’t need your own, most air conditioners will plug directly into an outlet in your home. Window air conditioners are individual, self-supporting units that extract heat and humidity from the specific room to the outdoors. Similar to how a car’s air conditioning works, the single unit will only be able to cool a certain square space. For example; If you buy a unit to cool the downstairs in your home, depending on how large the space is, the entire downstairs might get cold. But if you closed the doors, only one area would be cold and the other areas that would get cold would be very hot. The same goes for the second story of your home. The hot air rises, so all the hot air that was once in your home is now up. Window or wall air conditioners do not take hot air out of your home to recirculate and turn into cold air. This type of air conditioner takes the hot air from outside and converts it into cold air for circulation to your home.
