We talk again in this post about SEO and positioning web pages around backlinks. In a previous post, we explained what SEO is and we differentiated between SEO OnPage and SEO OffPage because backlinks are part of OffPage factors and are nothing more than the inbound links that other web pages make to ours. Backlinks despite the transformations Google is making are still vital.

Backlinks can be rated for their quality, and based on this the inbound link will enhance the positioning of our website to a greater or lesser extent. But as always happens, getting quality inbound links is not an easy task, the question then is

To be at the top of a search engine like Google, we must increase the authority of our domain and for that, one of the best things that we are going to be able to do is get quality backlinks or inbound links.

Backlinks classes

  1. “Dofollow” or “follow” links

The page that links us is transmitting authority to us, that is, it transmits its recommendation to find relevant content on the landing page. At the same time, we are establishing relationships between web pages, facilitating search engines to identify the content.

  1. “Nofollow” Links

Although they may seem less interesting since they do not transmit authority, they do transmit web traffic and also having both types of backlinks is positive for SEO as they promote naturalness.

If you only have “Dofollow” links, Google can interpret that the links are forced, artificial or have not been obtained in a natural way.

Where to get quality backlinks:
A first idea may be to publish articles on highly authoritative blogs, it will undoubtedly require a great effort on your part because you must generate high-quality content for it to be published. Logically in that article, we will place some links to our website.

Find specialized blogs on your subject or sector and contact to publish an article that may interest them. Always analyze the authority of the blog where you intend to publish.

There are also Social Networking tools with which you can get dofollow backlinks like Klout, these links can be obtained through tweets sent from your Twitter account.

Analyze your competition with some tracking tools such as Ahrefs and collect what inbound links they have to be able to put links in the same way to your website where possible.

If we are talking about positioning a blog, use content curation tools such as Paper.li or Storify, with these tools you will get no-follow links but your content may be shared more easily.

And of course do not forget the great references such as Alexa, Moz, Xataka, etc …

In short, there are many possibilities to get backlinks, be creative, look for your options and define a strategy to get your quality links and as we have said on other occasions, the basis of everything is to generate great content.
